Some of the values of the community members are the fact that they live in a small community, having people who are willing to teach them what they want to know, and being willing to learn. They especially value the time and attention that we gave them.

Their strengths include the willingness to learn that they have, having access to a free class, and having knowledgeable teachers. Another strength would be the resources that we provided for them. They didn't have to bring their own computers or computer accessories. We provided everything they needed, especially for their ease of access.

What they really need, though, is a permanent class for them to take year-round so they can go learn what they want to know every time they need help, rather than when it is offered .

The digital divide is a real and serious issue. As the world becomes more technologically advanced, the people who didn't grow up using this technology and the people who can’t afford the resources are falling behind and becoming lost in today’s world. It really becomes a disadvantage to them, especially people looking for jobs that require computer skills and such.
