Civic Engagement in Digital Divide: Values, strength, and needs of the community member.

 

The civic engagement  sessions allowed for a growing experience for both the community members as well as the student instructors. My experience with the sessions enabled me to offer help to those in need of skills to be successful in the job market.  I could tell from those willing to learn these valuable skills were grateful to be apart of the civic engagement program.

 

It was a satisfying feeling knowing that my knowledge could be put towards something so meaningful, such as furthering or initiating another’s career. The civic engagement program successfully allowed positive interaction among students and community members in a learning environment.
